If your DS1 camera is not connecting or taking photos, please follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Check the Camera
Turn the camera on.
Wait until you see a solid cyan (light blue) light.
If you don’t see a light, charge the camera for at least 30 minutes.
Check the SD card.
If you see a message like “No SD card inserted,” remove and reinsert the SD card firmly.
Step 2: Fix Connection Issues
Turn OFF the following on your phone or tablet:
Bluetooth
Mobile Data
VPN (if you use one)
Turn OFF Wi-Fi on other nearby devices.
The camera should connect to only one device at a time.
Connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi:
Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings.
Select the network that starts with X3…
Enter this password: 88888888
Ensure that other devices previously connected to the camera has their Wi-Fi switched off.
Switch off the WiFi on your secondary device.
Ensure that the primary device is the only one with WiFi on.
Step 3: Check the App
Open the DocuSketch App
→ Go to Settings
→ Tap Camera
→ Select DS1Try taking a test photo.
Step 4: If It Still Doesn’t Work
Log out of the DocuSketch app.
Log back in and reconnect to the camera Wi-Fi.
Try again.
Last Resort Steps
If the camera is still not detected:
Delete and reinstall the DocuSketch app
Important: Make sure all projects are uploaded first before uninstalling.Make sure the app has all permissions enabled (Camera, Photos, Location).
If using an iPhone or iPad, update your iOS to the latest version.
