Introduction
In the field, clear and fast documentation is essential—and commenting is a big part of that workflow. To help teams move more efficiently, we have improved the commenting experience in DocuSketch to make it faster, simpler, and more flexible for everyday use.
These enhancements allow users to capture multiple comments at once, add photos more easily, and even place comments without a 360° image. Everything is automatically organized in the Web Portal, with improved photo quality and smarter project management built in. The system also keeps your selected comment type active until you choose to change it, reducing extra steps and speeding up the process.
These improvements are designed for Field Staff, Project Managers, and Owners/GMs who rely on quick, accurate notes to keep projects running smoothly. The result is a streamlined commenting workflow that supports better communication and faster decision-making.
How to Add Comment
Open a room in your project. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to find the comments section:

Tap the "Add comment" button. The DocuSketch app will now use the camera on your mobile device to take a photo:

You may now choose to take a photo of the source of the loss or any other point of interest you wish to add documentation for:

You may also choose to add only a text comment by selecting the thought bubble in the lower right of the screen:

The icon in the top-right corner shows the type of comment you are about to take a photo of. You can change the type if needed after you take the photo:

As soon as a photo is taken, a pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can change the type of your comment there by tapping one of the options at the top of the pop-up — Note, Cause of Loss, Moisture, Equipment, or Contents:

Note: The last selected comment type will be used by default for the next photo, and it will be indicated by the icon in the top-right corner. As before, once the next photo is taken, it will be possible to change the type if necessary.
If you would like to add a text description to the just-taken photo, tap the area below the comment type selection. Type your description, and then tap the blue check mark to add and save it:
