Method 1
- Open up a room in your project in your DocuSketch app on your mobile device.
- Scroll down near the bottom of the window to find the "Add comment" button. Tap the "Add comment" button.
- The DocuSketch app will now use the camera on your mobile device to take a photo:
- You may now choose to take a photo of the source of the loss or any other point of interest you wish to add documentation for:
- You may also choose to add only the comment by selecting the thought bubble in the lower right of the screen:
- Now, select from the Note, Cause of Loss, Moisture, Equipment or Contents tabs to categorize your comment.
- Type in your comment and tap the blue check mark to save this comment and photo (if applicable) to the room.
Method 2
Another way to add comments to your project starts with finding the 360° image in your room:
- Tap your 360° image to open the photo.
- Use your finger to move around in the 360° image to find the place you'd like to add your comment.
- When you find the spot at which you'd like to add your comment, hold that spot in the 360° image with your finger.
- The DocuSketch app will open the camera on your device. You can now choose to add a comment here:
- As we did when we added the comment above, we can choose to categorize this comment as Note, Cause of Loss, Moisture, Equipment, or Contents.
- We can then add a comment to the 360° image to make it part of our project.
- These comments will show as photo icons on your project.
- You can hold and drag these any place you would like them to appear on your 360° image.
- Once you've documented your rooms, click the back button on the app to return to the list of rooms.
Adding Video Comments
The capability to add video comments is accessible within the "Add Comments" feature.
- Tap your 360° image to open it.
- Use your finger to move around in the 360° image to find the place you'd like to add your comment.
- When you find the spot at which you'd like to add your video comment, hold that spot in the 360° image with your finger.
- The DocuSketch app will open the camera on your device. You can now choose to add a video comment here by selecting the video option below the red button and tapping the red button to start the video.
- The video can include a voice narration if you choose.
- Tap the red button again to stop the video when complete.
- Choose to categorize this comment as Note, Cause of Loss, Moisture, Equipment, or Contents.
- Type your comment in the description box.
- Tap the check button to save your comment.
- A new video icon will appear in the 360° image.
- Add all the video comments you like to your project!
The video comment can include narration with the video to add emphasis and detail to the video. This narration can encompass:
- Scope detail
- Information about undamaged items
- Additional details about the cause and origin
This approach enhances the comprehensiveness of the video comment, providing a richer understanding of the content.
Note: If your video surpasses a duration of three minutes, you might encounter a file upload error:
