How to Document a Property Simultaneously

Prev Next

Documenting the same property simultaneously with a colleague can speed up the process of completing the needed shots of all rooms and areas which saves time and effort on each team member present in the job site.

Before You Start

To make sure everyone can access the same property project, one user must first create and upload the project from the DocuSketch app.

Step 1: Create the Project

One team member should create the project in the DocuSketch app.

After creating the project, add at least one room and take at least one 360° image. This creates the initial project data needed for uploading and sharing.

Step 2: Upload the Project

Once the first 360° image has been captured, return to the Projects page.

Tap the project options menu, then select Upload.

Uploading the project syncs it to the cloud and makes it available for other authorized users in the same office or account.

Step 3: Have Your Teammate Access the Project

After the project has been uploaded, your teammate can open the DocuSketch app, go to the Projects page, All Office Projects and access the same property project.

From there, each team member can add their assigned rooms, areas, 360° images, photos, comments, or other documentation.

Step 4: Assign Areas Clearly

Before documenting, decide which team member will handle each section of the property. This helps avoid duplicate shots, missed rooms, and confusion while the team is working on-site.

Sample Area Assignment

Team Member

Assigned Area

User 1

Living room, kitchen, dining area

User 2

Bedrooms, bathrooms, hallway

User 3

Exterior, garage, basement

Step 5: Re-upload After Making Updates

Each user should re-upload the project after adding rooms, images, comments, or other updates.

Uploading syncs the latest changes to the cloud, making them available in the web portal and to other users working on the same project.

Important Reminder

To avoid missing data, each team member should upload the project after completing their assigned section. If updates are made but not uploaded, other users may not see the latest rooms, images, or comments.

Best Practice

For the smoothest workflow, have one team member create and upload the initial project first. Once the project is visible to the team, each person can document their assigned areas and upload their updates when finished.

This ensures the property is documented efficiently while keeping all project data organized in one shared project.
