Quick camera overview
Supported models: SC2 (for business), X, V and Z1
- The back of the camera is indicated by the small WiFi screen.
- One side of the camera has 4 buttons:
- Top button — power button.
- The second button — Wi-Fi button (used when pairing with your device or to refresh the connection).
- We do not use the bottom two buttons.
How to pair the device and camera
- Press the power button. The button will light up and icons will display on the Wi-Fi screen (if the Wi-Fi signal is flashing, it indicates the camera is NOT connected to your device).
- Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device and look for the Wi-Fi hotspot for the camera.
- Click on the hotspot that begins with "THETA."
- The password will be the 8-digit serial number that follows the letters ("YP" in the screenshot below) after the Wi-Fi name:
The password can be confirmed by looking at the bottom of the camera:
- Once the connection is established between the camera and your device, the WiFi signal on the camera should remain solid.
- Your device is going to indicate there is no internet connection. This is fine. This is merely pairing your camera with your device.
- Camera is NOT connected to the internet. The camera and device have a connection.
- Your device may be indicating it cannot connect to the camera. This error message can be ignored.
- Note that only one device can pair with the camera at a time.
The next time you turn your camera on, it will automatically pair with your device (there is no need to enter your password every time).
Note: If you get a new device or reinstall the DocuSketch app, you will need to follow this process again.
