Shooting Stairways Effectively

Here are some tips for effectively shooting your stairways to ensure the sketch and measurements are as accurate as possible:

  • Take 360° images at the top and bottom landings of each stairway.
  • If there are middle landings, such as in an "L" shaped stairway (as in the image below), take a 360° image of that landing as well:

  • Enter the appropriate ceiling heights for each of these landings.
  • Label the landings appropriately in the DocuSketch app. For example, bottom landing, middle landing, upper landing.
