Follow these best practices to maximize your return on investment and get the best product possible returned from our Estimating Service.
Our estimators are looking for scope information from four places in your DocuSketch project:
1. 360° Tour
1. Coverage Recommendations:
- Take 2–4 360° images per room or approximately every 100 sqft to ensure full coverage.
- Focus on capturing key areas such as the corners of the room where walls, ceilings, and floors meet.
2. Additional 360° Images:
- Use the Add 360° Image feature to capture more detail where needed.
- Take extra 360° images around furniture or obstructions to avoid missing important areas.
3. Important Details to Capture:
- Flooring Changes / Room transitions
- Trim & Baseboard changes
- Window Types
2. Timelines
Adding timelines is a great way to showcase what work was performed such as debris removal, demolition, equipment placement and changes made from the original loss to the final walkthrough. Create timelines for each key milestone to track progress such as:
- End of Day 1
- Post-Mitigation
- Post-Construction
3. Comments
Adding comments is a great way to increase the value of your estimate. Placing comments of more detailed information within your project gives scope information to what our estimators can’t see from the 360° tour. Include comments to detail the following key aspects:
- Pre-existing damage
- Scoping information
- Multiple flooring or wall layers
4. Document Upload
When ordering the estimate, the document upload section is where the user can upload any additional information or documents such as:
- Bid items
- Mold & asbestos protocols
- Tic sheets
- Drying logs
- Time & Materials documentation
Note: Once an estimate has been returned, the customer owns the entire estimate and has the ability to adjust any part of the estimate they see fit to.
