# DS1 Camera: How to clear camera contents?

1. Swipe down on the main screen:

2. Select the **cog icon**:

3. Scroll down and select "**SD Card**:"

4. On the next screen, select **Format**. Press the **red check box** to clear all contents inside the camera:

**Note**: This step allows you to clear contents inside your camera's SD Card to free space for more images to take.
