How to check the status of an estimate request

After ordering an estimate, you are able to check on the status of the estimate from within your DocuSketch web portal.

Once you log in to docusketch.com scroll through your projects to find the tour you are working on.

Once the estimate is ordered, you will see an Estimates button next to the "Download" or "Ceiling Heights" button. This will show you the number of orders you have placed on this tour, not the number of estimates ordered. Click into this "Estimates" button to show the status of each order (note that 1 order can contain multiple estimate types):

Estimating has 3 types of status:

• New
• In Progress
• Done

New

This status means we have received the order. It could also be assigned and waiting on the estimator to start the estimate:

In Progress

This status means the estimator has started the estimate and it is currently In Progress. The estimator may email you if there are any questions about the scope. Otherwise, you should receive the completed estimate shortly:

Done

This status means the estimate has been completed and is available for download. The user who created the estimate order will also receive a notification confirming that the files are completed. This email will also contain the estimate files.  

Once an estimate is complete, the order will update to show it was completed on your DocuSketch web portal:

Estimator's Message

On Web Portal

If you notice an orange speech bubble icon next to your estimate order in the Estimate Order list, it indicates that you have received a message from the estimator who worked on the order:

To read the message, open the estimate order by clicking on the chevron icon on the right:

On the estimate order page, you will find an orange "View Estimator comment" button. Clicking on it will allow you to read the estimator's message:

As soon as the message is read, the button will turn gray:

The speech bubble icon in the Estimate Order list will also turn gray:

On Mobile App

Estimator's message can also be accessed via DocuSketch mobile app.

A good way to see if you have an estimator's message and read it is to:

• Open the tour for which an estimate is ready. 
• Find and open the estimate on the tour screen. 
• If the estimator left a message, a speech bubble icon will be shown in the "Final" block on the right. Tap the icon to read the message.
