Ricoh Theta
- Press the power button. The button will light up and icons will display on the Wi-Fi screen (if the Wi-Fi signal is flashing, it indicates the camera is NOT connected to your device).
- Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device and look for the Wi-Fi hotspot for the camera.
- Click on the hotspot that begins with "THETA."
- The password will be the 8-digit serial number that follows the letters ("YP" in the screenshot below) after the Wi-Fi name:
The password can be confirmed by looking at the bottom of the camera:
- Once the connection is established between the camera and your device, the WiFi signal on the camera should remain solid.
- Your device is going to indicate there is no internet connection. This is fine. This is merely pairing your camera with your device.
- Camera is NOT connected to the internet. The camera and device have a connection.
- Your device may be indicating it cannot connect to the camera. This error message can be ignored.
- Note that only one device can pair with the camera at a time.
The next time you turn your camera on, it will automatically pair with your device (there is no need to enter your password every time).
Note: If you get a new device or reinstall the Docusketch app, you will need to follow this process again.

- Power up the camera by clicking on the Power/Switch button. You will hear a bleep from the camera signalling that it is on.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi on the camera is switched on as well. To check if the camera Wi-Fi is on, look for a blinking light beside the Wi-Fi button.
- The light indicator beside the Wi-Fi button would appear blinking if the camera is not connected to any device:
- If you do not see the Wi-Fi indicator blinking, turn it on by clicking on the Wi-Fi button beside the indicator as shown above.
- If the camera and its Wi-Fi are powered up, let's look at your mobile device.
- Open your device's Wi-Fi settings:
- The Madventure 360 Wi-Fi hotspot has the label QJXJ followed by a six-digit numeric code.
- Key in the default password: 12345678.
- You will hear the camera bleep once and see the Wi-Fi indicator turn from blinking to solidly lit to indicate your device is now connected. This means that you are ready to create your tour!
- Note that while you are connected to the camera via Wi-Fi, you will not be able to connect to the Internet with your device.
Note: If you get a new device or reinstall the Docusketch app, you will need to follow this process again.
