DS1 Camera: How to Update Camera Firmware

Keeping your DS1 Camera firmware up to date ensures optimal performance, stability, and access to the latest features. Follow these steps to connect your DS1 Camera to the Insta360 app and update the firmware.
Step 1: Connect your DS1 camera to the Insta360 App
Before updating the firmware, you must first connect your DS1 to the Insta360 app.
1. Turn on WiFi and bluetooth on your phone. Turn on the camera by pressing the power button.
2. Open the Insta360 app on your phone. Tap the camera icon:
3. Confirm your camera name and tap "Join."
Note: If the camera does not appear, go to your phone's WiFi settings, locate your camera, and tap to connect. Then return to the Insta360 app.
Step 2: Update the Firmware via the Insta360 App
Ensure your DS1 is connected to the Insta360 app.
If a new firmware version is available, a firmware update prompt will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to update.
If you do not receive an update prompt, manually check for updates by going to App Settings > Firmware Version. Check if the firmware version is the latest. After the update is complete, you can check the firmware version in the following two ways:
1. Swipe down on the DS1 touch screen to access the Shortcut menu, then tap the cog icon > Camera Info to check the firmware version:
