It's time to set up your tour. This is the process you will follow each time you set up a new tour in your DocuSketch app on your mobile device:
After you log into your DocuSketch app, tap the "New" button in the upper right corner of the screen. You will land on the "Create a Tour" window:
Let's begin by adding a front-view of the property for which you will be creating a tour:
- Tap on "Attach front view photo."
- The DocuSketch app will now use the camera on your device to take a photo. Use it to take your front-view photo:
Now, in the "Name" field, label your tour using whatever your naming convention will be for this tour:
- We suggest using a consistent naming convention that will make it simple for people in your organization to locate and identify tours.
- For example, label your tour name using a claim "#", name of client, address, etc.
The next required field is "Camera height:"
- This is the height of the front lens of the Ricoh Theta camera attached to the fully extended tripod.
- This height will always be 5'3" with our Ricoh Theta camera.
Our next required field is "Ceiling height:"
- This will be the default ceiling height applied to each room of your tour. Note that each room will require a ceiling height measurement.
The "Address" field is next:
- Tap the "Use my location" button and the DocuSketch app will use your device's location services to populate the address for you.
- Note that the address can be manually typed in as well.
You have the opportunity to enter additional information including Job Number, Property type, and Type of loss:
The water type of loss field expands so that water categories can be selected:
The "Other" field allows for the manual typing of the appropriate loss type:
Update the optional loss date field by tapping into the field to open the date scroll:
Tap on the "Create Tour" button at the bottom of the screen or the "Create" button in the upper right corner to begin creating your tour. Note that you may have to scroll all the way down to see this button.
We will now see the screen that says “Add Room:”
- You will be following the process that follows to add each room in your tour as you move around the building.
Tap “Add Room:”
- Name your first room. This is a free-type field.
- Reassign your room to a specific floor.
- A scroll will appear at the bottom of your app window to allow you to select the appropriate floor.
It is now time to measure the ceiling height in your room. This is the only measurement you are required to take in your tour.
- You will use your measuring device to measure the lowest ceiling height where the ceiling meets a wall.
- This lowest ceiling height where it meets a wall will be entered individually for each room as you move through your tour.
Tap "Create."
Repeat the steps if you want to create additional rooms in your tour.
