How to share 360°
Under the "Projects" tab on the Web Portal find the project with the 360° you would like to share and click the "Share" button:
A pop-up window will appear on the screen when clicked:
There will be 3 tabs in the pop-up window:
- 360° Link: Allows the user to share the 360° publicly through a link. This works on social media, chat, text and more places.
- Custom 360° link: Allows users to create a preset version of the kind of link they would like to share. They can restrict the features and images audiences can see in a 360° and save a preset of the link.
- Project Invite: Allows the user to send private invitation to other DocuSketch users via email under one hierarchy.
Note: When a 360° is shared via any of the options above, all Timelines associated with this 360° will be accessible to recipients as well.
360° link
"360° Link” works similarly to the share feature in the mobile app and allows you to paste a link anywhere regardless of DocuSketch subscription. This is a general-purpose method for sharing your project for public consumption.
Click on "Create link" to generate a link which can be publicly shared with anyone:
360° can be shared anywhere by simply copying the public 360° link and then pasting it on the platform on which they'd like to share it (this works for all except for adding a 360° on a website):
To embed a 360° on your website, use the embed codes generated by the system. Once the code is copied, you can then paste the codes on their website's backend webpage editors. To access the codes, scroll down the modal under the shareable link tab:
There are two ways to embed the 360° on their website:
- Option 1: Pop-Up Window Format — embeds the 360° as a clickable thumbnail that pops the 360° on a new tab when clicked. This is labeled as Open in a pop-up window.
- Option 2: Interactive Embed Format — Embeds the 360° as an interactive component on the website. This is labeled as In embedded site.
Custom 360° link
“Custom 360° link” allows you to create a link for someone such as a property owner or other stakeholder and customize the information that is included. For example, you can choose to share only particular units in an apartment building or condominium with an interested party.
To start this process, click the blue "Create new link" button:
At the top of the new window, enter your "Link name" in the provided window and check the appropriate checkboxes to show "Sketch", "Company logo" , "Public comments" and "Private comments":
Update the visibility of floors and rooms by checking the appropriate checkboxes. For example, share just the first floor of a condominium with the appropriate parties by selecting all rooms of the first floor:
Complete this sharing process by scrolling to the bottom of the window to "Save":
Created Custom Links should appear on the list when saved:
Custom Links can be edited, copied and deleted:
Project invite
"Project invite" allows project to be shared within your organization with other members of your team:
To share access privately:
- Select your recipient from the dropdown.
- Click "Send invite."
- You'll see this status message on the Users column once you have successfully sent it.
- You may undo the action by clicking the "Delete" button.
